CARITAS GERMANY in Indonesia,
an international Non-Government
humanitarian organization,
isseeking
the following position, to be based in Banda Aceh:

SOCIAL PROJECT ADVISER

Responsibilities:
- Accompany and support our partners in developing their
skills and knowledge’s in programme planning, implementing and management
- Coordinate with other local national and international
NGO’s, government bodies and donors when required
- Monitor and evaluate systematically the ongoing
partner programs, in coordination with Caritas finance officer
- assure that all project documentation are complete,
current and filed appropriately
- Identify and review new potential partners and project
proposals in accordance to Caritas strategic working fields
- Resource person on field missions and partner visits
especially for cultural features (including language/ translation tasks) in
close arrangement with foreign staff
- Maintain the flow of information toward project
partners in regards to Caritas quality standards, operational procedures and
guidelines
- Analyse and reflect constantly on social needs and
overall trends in Aceh in order to advice
- Submit monthly reports to Caritas HQ and third parties
when required
- Other related duties as assigned by supervisor

Skills and
qualifications:
- university degree in social work, development or other
humanitarian related education background
- a minimum of 3 years working experience in the
relevant area, NGO related desirable
- Multiple language skills required: English and Bahasa
Indonesia, Acehnese is an advantage
- Experience with reviewing new proposal and budgets,
monitoring and evaluation of social and community development projects
- Excellent communication and proven interpersonal
skills as well as cultural sensitivity are expected
- Knowledge of networking and affiliation with local,
national and international non profit structures and organizations is essential
- Organizational ability to advice and train partner in
order to improve their programmes
- Additional experiences e.g. in volunteer work, social
trainings or other expertise in the area (children, drug addiction, HIV/ Aids,
disability, community empowerment, peace building) is an added value
- Flexibility in working hours and ability to travel
frequently to remote/conflict affected project sites
