ASB - Disaster Risk Reduction Trainer

Established in 1888 Arbeiter-Samariter- Bund (ASB) is one of Germany's longest established and largest social welfare organisations. ASB currently has a portfolio of over 100 projects in relief, rehabilitation and community based development. ASB entered Indonesia following the May 2006 earthquake and has established projects in emergency relief; reconstruction and training; information outreach; disaster preparedness and livelihoods sectors.
ASB is currently seeking expressions of interest from qualified and committed individuals for the following position:

Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) Trainer

Location : Yogyakarta Office
Duration: 6 month initial contract (subject to completion of one month probation period)

Summary of job profile/responsibilities:
To assist in delivering quality DRR training to teachers and children, Yogyakarta Province and Klaten district, Central Java. The trainer reports to the project coordinator and project manager.

Key requirements:
1.Minimum Bachelor's degree
2.Previous training/teaching experience preferred
3.Excellent reporting skills required
4.Good English language skills an advantage
5.Good public speaking skills essential
6.Knowledge of DRR an asset
7.Computer literate
8.Able to multi-task and work to achieve deadlines as required
9.Willingness to travel as and when required
10.Able to work independently and under own initiative as well as in a team in a multicultural environment
11.Resident of Jogja or Central Java is preferred
12.Person with the experience of working with disabled youth an asset.
13.Person with disability is encouraged to apply.
