MDM - Lofistician

Médecins du Monde (MDM) is an international medical Non- Governmental Organisation (NGO) working in health care for the population in need.
Médecins du Monde supports vulnerable population worldwide to reach an improved health status and its right to health. MDM works on basis of impartiality and neutrality.

In Lembata district, NTT, MDM is supporting health workers and communities fighting against malaria. We are focussing on Primary Health Care, including health care providing, improvement of diagnosis, and intervention for the disease transmission, and we are opening a position for:

LOGISTICIAN (M/F)

Location: Lembata Island (Kab.Lembata) .
Grade: 5 Level: 1
Salary range (gross): IDR 5,178,840.00

Logistician will work as part of the project team, in mobile clinic activities in the villages of Lembata. Logistictian will work under the supervision and coordination of the Project Medical Coordinator.

Main Responsibilities:
- Management of the supplies
- Management, maintenance and refurbishment of the buildings
- Stock control
- Management of the equipment pool
- Programme activities: bednet distribution, survey of the villages,team support.
- Administration
- Personnel management
- Safety

Profile of the ideal candidate

- Possess Technical training (building matters, general electricity, electromechanics, vehicle mechanics, transport, etc.).
- Professional experience of at least 1 year in a technical area.
- Indonesian and English (oral and written).
- Ability to solve problems
- Ability to lead multiple tasks from the front
- Ability to assign the priorities
- Good knowledge of the local market
- Organisational skills
- Relational skills
- A liking for teamwork

Medical Team International - Various Positions

Medical Teams International is a non-profit organization, which serves to bring aid and medical care to those in need worldwide. We are looking for people who are skilled, passionate, determined and experienced for the positions below :

FIELD ACCOUNTANT (Code : 01-FAcc)

Duty Station : Lolowa'u - Nias Selatan, Nias

Classification : Employee, Grade 3
Estimate Starting Date : 16/07/08

Project Period : 1 (one ) year

Direct Supervisor : Project Manager

Technical:

a.. Prepare, record and process accounts payable, cash disbursements and cash receipts to be reviewed by the Project Manager.
b.. Process vendor invoices and correctly match with supporting documents.
c.. Ensure accuracy of invoices and work with vendors/staff to make necessary and appropriate changes.
d.. Issue timely payments to vendors.
e.. Process all cash advance requests and employee expense reports.
f.. Perform weekly counts of cash-on-hand, with Administrative Coordinator or Project Manager, reconcile to Simply Accounting records.
g.. Prepare banking documentation (deposit/withdrawal slips) and reconcile all project bank accounts on a monthly basis.
h.. Assure compliance with local government and agency regulations.
i.. Assist Program staff with annual budget preparation, monthly budget-to-actual analysis, and reporting requirements.
j.. Assist Project Manager with monthly cash flow analysis and cash requirements; request drawdown of funds from Country Office
k.. Assist Country Office Finance Department staff with year-end financial audit.
Administrative:

a.. Ensure the implementation of finance policies, procedures, and systems are complied with financial and accounting regulations.
b.. Liaison with sub-recipient organizations and partners regarding financial accounting, reporting and regulations, advising as needed.
Reporting:

a.. Prepare monthly financial reports for accuracy and furnish to the Project Manager and Country Office Finance Department.
General:

a.. Provide financial training to local partners and project staff, as needed.
b.. Perform any other duty as requested by the Finance Manager.


LOGISTICIAN (Code : 02-LG)

Duty Station : Lolowa'u - Nias Selatan, Nias

Classification : Employee, Grade 3
Estimate Starting Date : 16/07/08

Project Period : 1 (one ) year

Direct Supervisor : Project Manager

Technical:

a.. Implement and maintain standard logistics and procurement procedures in the project site.
b.. Collect/gather price quotation from the supplier for the procurement proposes.
c.. Receive, check, and forward the vendor invoices to be processed by the accountant.
d.. Ensure the proper use of the MTI properties, equipment, and transport when they are assigned for the project.
e.. Organize the project transportation. This includes daily scheduling and maintenance of the MTI's vehicles.
f.. Ensure the security on the project site. Develop and maintain daily schedule for the security staff.
Administrative

a.. Work with Country Office Administrative Department to maintain computer application records, ensure licensing compliance.
Reporting

a.. Report on logistic and procurement to the administrative coordinator.
General

a.. Cooperate and coordinate with all project staff to ensure good internal communication and subsequent high quality project selection, implementation and management.
b.. Perform any other duty as required by the supervisor


FIELD ADMINISTRATION (Code : 03-FAdm)

Duty Station : Lolowa'u - Nias Selatan, Nias

Classification : Employee, Grade 3
Estimate Starting Date : 16/07/08

Project Period : 1 (one ) year

Direct Supervisor : Project Manager


Technical:

a.. Bring support to the Project Manager and Country Office with regards to administrative issues.
b.. Help plan and control budgets for contracts, equipment and supplies.
c.. Monitor the facility at project level to ensure that it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.
d.. Acquire, distribute and store project supplies.
e.. Manage clerical and administrative personnel.
f.. Maintain the maintenance and repair office machinery and equipment.
g.. Manage the leasing of facility space.
h.. Handling petty cash.
Administrative:

a.. Ensure proper financial control and management according to the budge guidelines provided by MTI.
b.. Ensure maintenance of office administrative documentation as required by Project Manager of Country Office.
c.. Follow all MTI protocols and regulations according tot guidance provided by direct supervisor.
d.. Immediately report any security issues which concern MTI staff or equipment to Project Manager or Country Office.
Reporting:
a.. Complete monthly progress reports as required by Project Manager and submit reports in a timely manner.
b.. Assist MTI management with any request for information or data regarding program expansion or development.
General:

a.. Cooperate and coordinate with all project staff to ensure good internal communication and subsequent high quality project selection, implementation and management.
b.. Perform any other duty as requested by the Project Manager.

Canadian Red Cross - Logistic Officer

The Canadian Red Cross (CRC) is implementing a major community-based reconstruction and rehabilitation program with the primary focus on shelter construction project in Aceh Besar, Lamno, Calang and Nias for beneficiaries affected by Tsunami of December 26, 2004 and earthquake of March 28, 2005.
We are also implementing Livelihood, Environmental Health and Disaster Preparedness Management programs to help families and communities to improve their live quality. We are looking for qualified and committed candidates to fill the following position on a fixed term contract basis.

Logistic Officer (Ref Code: LOAB)

Based in Aceh Besar

Standard function description:

Carry out procurements and logistic tasks in Aceh Besar in support of Canadian Red Cross.

Specific Duties

* To follow Canadian Red Cross standard procurement practices keeping records to full audit trail standard.

* To ensure that quotations are completed in time and that the requester is informed of results.

* To ensure that requisitions are correctly filled by the requester, signed by examiners and correctly numbered and registered.

* To ensure that the validation process is respected, that acknowledge are sent to the requester and that follows up are done.

* To update and track the procurement process.

* To ensure that Purchase Orders are issued, registered and followed up.

* To make sure that the value of the Purchase Order does not differ of more than 10% and up to maximum 1,000,000 IDR of the value stated in the related requisition.

* To ensure that selection, registration and management of suppliers is accurate. To maintain a good relationship with supplier.

* To ensure competitive bidding process including prices and quality.

* To ensure a good receiving process including inspection on delivery and that the good receiving note is signed by concerned parties.

* To provide the finance department with all required documents and/or information for accounting purposes.

* To manage and keep good level of inventory for assets needed for the office and houses.

* To up date moveable properties inventory and inform administration in Banda Aceh case of modification.

* To ensure that all purchased goods are Canadian Red Cross standard and fit for the purpose and have appropriate inspection certificates as required.

* To control and maintain Canadian Red Cross standard practices for Federation vehicles.

* Be responsible for monitoring the fuel/oil consumption by vehicle and produce report for the fleet manager on weekly basis.

* Oversee and advise the fleet manager for preventive maintenance of vehicles.

* To ensure correct vehicle usage procedures by drivers and make sure the daily check up is done before starting the engine.

* Be responsible for the operation of vehicles fleet, including daily/weekly needs and allocate vehicle use accordingly.

* To support, train and develop Delegates, Local and National Society staff as required.

* To produce regular, timely and accurate narrative and financial reports for Canadian Red Cross.

Minimum required knowledge & experience:

* English: Functional

* Self-supporting in computers (Word & Excel)

* Formal education to secondary level

* Experience: 3 years experience in procurement or purchasing and logistic tasks, experience of working for a humanitarian aid organization.
