Oxfam GB - Tim Konsultan Pelatihan

Dibutuhkan Tim Konsultan pelatihan jangka pendek untuk proyek Masyarakat di Nias – Oxfam GB NIas

Sebagai bagian dari komitmen Oxfam untuk menciptakan livelihood yang berkelanjutan bagi masyarakat sasaran di Nias, kami membutuhkan tim konsultan training jangka pendek (5 orang) untuk membantu menyelenggarakan dan memfasilitasi pelatihan keahlian dasar untuk proyek masyarakat dalam program berikut:

Fasilitator untuk melaksanakan pelatihan pengujian dan pengelolaan tanah (pelatihan selama 4 hari):

Kandidat yang dicari harus memiliki keahlian dalam memberikan pelatihan pengujian dan pengelolaan tanah dalam bentuk presentasi lapangan dan praktek kepada masyarakat. Kandidat harus mampu memberikan rekomendasi perawatan alternatif terhadap tanah rusak agar menjadi tanah yang lebih produktif dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan organik yang tersedia di desa. Setelah pelatihan, masyarakat diharapkan mempunyai pengetahuan tentang bagaimana melakukan pengujian tanah dan menggunakan peralatannya serta memahami pentingnya penggunaan bahan organik bagi keberlanjutan tanah dan dampaknya terhadap produksi hasil panen.
Kandidat yang berkualifikasi diharapkan memiliki pengalaman dalam bidang pengelolaan tanah selama 10 tahun dan memiliki pengetahuan tentang agrikultur di Nias.

Job Description


I. INTRODUCTION

Right To Play is an athlete-driven, humanitarian non-governmental organization, delivering programs of structured play to children living in situations of disadvantage in 23 countries around the world. Right To Play - Indonesia is partnering with UNICEF and Dinas Sosial to implement programs that enhance healthy child development, build community capacity and raise awareness of child rights¢ issues.


II. OBJECTIVES OF THE CONSULTANCY

The Consultant is responsible for the successful implementation of a post-test assessment that will measure children¢s knowledge/attitudes on health and other child protection-related topics, as well as their behavior with respect to the ability to concentrate in school, teamwork & cooperation, fair play, etc. The survey instrument will be administered in villages in which Right To Play has worked compared to a control group of villages. It will be written by an in-field team,
but the consultant will participate fully in the pilot test and have ample opportunity to suggest revisions to the survey instrument.

Further, the consultant will have primary responsibility for training the survey enumerators, a group which will include Right To Play national staff, district-level social workers employed by Dinas Sosial, UNICEF-supported Child Center staff, and volunteer members of local Child Protection Bodies (LPA).


III. SCOPE OF WORK



There are four main project deliverables:

- Review of Survey Instrument, Pilot Test, Refinement of Survey Instrument and Final Site Selection

- Enumerators¢ Training

- In-field Supervision of Post-Test Assessment in Program Locations and Control Group

- Final Report



V. TIMING

The overall consultancy period for the baseline assessment is two months starting July 28, 2008 and ending September 22, 2008.


V. QUALIFICATIONS

- Master¢s Degree or higher in a field related to child protection (social work, public administration, community development); PhD preferred

- Minimum 2 years of experience in planning, design and implementation of surveys in developing country context

- Proven ability to use both quantitative, qualitative and participatory research methods

- Prior experience in Indonesia preferred

- Fluency in Bahasa Indonesia and/or Acehnese preferred

- Experience conducting assessments of children strongly desired

- Prior work at the community level required

IRD - Consultants

International Relief and Development, (IRD) Inc., is a non-profit organization specializing in international development and humanitarian assistance in over 20 countries. IRD works with a wide range of partners to design and implement, and provide technical assistance in the areas of economic development, democratic governance and community development, health, sustainable agriculture and relief.
IRD Indonesia is currently renewing its consultant roster and is seeking Indonesian and International consultants interested in short-term assignments to perform needs assessments, design programs and develop concept papers and competitive proposals. Individuals should be able to demonstrate experience designing and securing funding for successful programs in community development, economic development, infrastructure, democracy and governance, health, and education.

Requirements:
• Willingness to spend several weeks traveling throughout Indonesia conducting research, assessing local partners, collaborating on design models, etc.;
• Possess a university degree or higher in topics pertinent to IRD programmatic foci, (see above);
• Have a minimum of 5 years field experience and familiar with program design including log frames and budgeting;
• Experience negotiating agreements with local and international partners as required;
• Fluency in English and able to produce analytical/ technical reports and proposals in English;
• Ability to analyze and synthesize a variety of material in a fact-paced environment;
• Possess high-level skills in MS Word and Excel;
• Be prepared to submit writing sample; and
• Experience with USAID-funded programs preferred.

Justice for the Poor - Consultant

Justice for the Poor is looking for a suitably qualified consultant to assist with our Perda Program and our work on Village Judicial Autonomy. Key tasks are as follows:
a) Assist in coordinating the Justice for the Poor-DSF Perda Program, working in collaboration with YIPD and ADKASI as the implementing agencies including overseeing contract implementation, budget negotiation and other relevant documents;
b) working with YIPD and ADKASI build networks with national-regional-local regulations working groups consisting of government agencies, local parliaments, NGO/CSO, academician and other relevant stakeholders;
c) monitor and evaluate the Perda Program and provide substantive technical contributions into research activities and drafting of policy papers under this Perda Program;
d) Assist VJA Pilot Program coordinator in preparing implementation of the program including overseeing procurement and contract process of the implementing agency.
e) Develop a monitoring and evaluation framework for the VJA Program;
f) Ensure both the Perda Program and the VJA Pilot Program are integrated into and shared across the entire J4P program and disseminated to important national and sub-national stakeholders.

The American Red Cross seeks dynamic individuals to fill the:

POSITION :Inventory and Asset Analyst (consultant)
Report to : Head of Operations
No of Hired : 1 Person
Base of Assignment : Banda Aceh
Type of contract : Service Agreement
Duration of contract : 1 Month

The Inventory Analyst¢s primary responsibility will be to review the inventory list and perform a physical count of all assets. He or she will work closely with the Deputy Operations officer as well as finance and logistics staff. He or she will report directly to the Head of Operations whom will provide guidance and direction.

Specific DUTIES responsibilities and accountabilities:
* Become familiar with drafts of the physical inventory list
* Perform a physical count of all assets
* Compare physical count results with information on the inventory list
* Review records from the finance, procurement, and logistics units
* Edit asset list as necessary
* Review equipment receipt and sign out documents
* Lead the updating of data in the asset manager data base
* Inform management of any irregularities or missing equipment
* Identify equipment known to have been donated and not in circulation
* Prepare final inventory list

Qualification and Requirement
· At least 2 years experience working in the logistics, procurement, and or warehousing fields.
· Accounting and auditing experience a plus
· Ability to plan, coordinate and monitor own work plan
· Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working
· Good writing and speaking skills in English and Indonesian

Oxfam GB - Research Consultant

Short-term research consultants required for power analysis – Oxfam GB

As part of Oxfam’s ongoing commitment towards the Government’s environment- friendly development plans, Oxfam’s Policy and Advocacy Unit will conduct a short-term consultancy to identify and analyse the main aspects of and actors involved in the proposed or existing Government policies under the framework of Land Use Land Use Change and Forestry (LULUCF) and the main challenges the government faces to have their policies implemented. The consultant is expected to write and submit an interim report and present its findings around the key research findings.

The consultancy will be conducted from 7 July to 1 August 2008.

The consultant should have the following skills and experience essential for this assignment:
· Strong experience in conducting investigative studies
· Good background in socio-economic and political studies
· Good relationship with the local government and local CSOs
· Good understanding of the post-tsunami and post-conflict socio-cultural and economic context in Aceh.
· Able to communicate in English, Bahasa Indonesia and preferably Acehnese
· Able to write reports in English
· Able to travel to field sites
· Knowledge of the INGO ways of working in Aceh; previous relationship with Oxfam preferred

World Vision Aceh - Consultant

Kualifikasi dan Tanggung Jawab :
- Berpengalaman dalam melakukan assessment dan baseline untuk bidang pendidikan

- Mereview literatur sesuai dengan keperluan yang dibutuhkan dalam kegiatan
assessment dan baseline survey serta dalam rangka memperkaya analisa.
- Menentukan kerangka kuantitatif untuk sample
- Mengembangkan kerangka kerja untuk pengumpulan data termasuk alat analisis yang
akan digunakan untuk melihat kemampuan guru dalam mentransfer pengetahuan
kepada siswa.
- Menyiapkan soal-soal yang akan diberikan kepada guru-guru sebagai salah satu alat
untuk melihat penguasaan guru terhadap mata pelajaran yang diajarkan (bahasa
Indonesia, matematika, IPA) sesuai dengan kriteria minimum bahan mata pelajaran
yang harus dikuasai guru.
- Mengundang Dinas Pendidikan di 4 Kabupaten layanan WV ADP dan mengkonsultasikan
alat analisis yang akan digunakan dalam kegiatan pra workshop.
- Mendapatkan profile 48 sekolah layanan WV-ADP.
- Pengolahan data dengan menggunakan alat analisis yang telah ditentukan.
- Memproses dokumen dan hasil (termasuk survey secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif dan
review dokumen)
- Mempresentasikan draft awal dari penemuan yang sudah dilakukan kepada team
Programming untuk sebagai input dan rekomendasi serta membuat penyesuaian bagi
laporan akhir.
- Mempresentasikan hasil temuan pada wokshop yang akan dihadiri oleh pihak Dinas
Pendidikan dan WV
- Menyediakan laporan akhir dalam bentuk hard copy dan soft copy serta hasil dari data
awal yang digunakan untuk analisis kuantitatif.
